MPM 11/22 Thanksgiving Edition

My favorite holiday is almost here!  I'm so excited!  This year we will be spending the holiday with my sister's family, so my cooking/baking responsibility is greatly reduced.  That will be nice on the wallet.  And since we won't be home on Thanksgiving, we'll still need to cook our own turkey so that we can still enjoy our share of turkey sandwiches and our day-after-Thanksgiving dinner tradition.  We just won't fix all the helpings with the turkey.  Well, maybe we'll have some mashed potatoes...can't have a turkey without the mashed potatoes!!

Monday - Pancakes
Tuesday - Taco Pasta
Wednesday - Leftovers and/or sandwiches
Thursday - Happy Thanksgiving!
Friday - cooking our own turkey
Saturday - Broccoli Turkey Supreme (our family tradition)
Sunday - Pizza Bites

  3. Shawna - I've been hesitant to link this recipe because this year we are going to tweak the directions some.

Although we absolutely love the flavor of this meal, the rice has been the difficult part every. single. year! For some reason, it doesn't cook all the way? So it has always taken way longer and lots of added water towards the end. However, this year, I'm going to try cooking the rice first, but that may mean adjusting the liquid in the actual casserole. If you'd like, I can post about it afterward.

Ask Ms Recipe - Taco Pasta is wonderous!
